In
consequence of an accuracy of 0.0002 mm (0.0078 mil), this sensor is measuring
with highest precision. In fact, on a measuring range of 500 mm (19.68
in.) a resolution of 0.05 mm (1.97 mil) is still reached. This feature
is performed on any desired surface: from aluminum (milled, anodized or
black) to steel (grinded, finish rolled, matt to mirroring) to lacquer,
wood, plastics and rubber.

CCD
sensors implicate advantages on measuring edges and feature absolute accuracy
and linearity independent from the surface.
Like nearly all
our sensors, also the M9 works according to the principle of triangulation,
with a measuring range of 5 kHz and a response time of 1,5 ms.
The slight light point diameter (0.2 mm) (0.0078 in.)
enables the recording of very small components.
Nine sensor types from measuring range 2 up to 500 mm (0.078 up to 19.68
in.) are available.
The sensor head is small, because of external evaluation
electronics. Connection cable (2 m) (78.7 in.) and evaluation
electronics are included in delivery.
