Inside
of magnetic resonance tomograph, strong magnetic fields are generated
by large magnetic coils. The forces arising from high currents may lead
to audible and tactile vibrations of the tomograph. For the patient, laying
inside the apparatus these occurrences are very disagreeable.
|
Around the
magnetic resonance tomograph mustn´t be any freely movable
metallic objects, they would be pulled into the machine. For this reason,
a lot of measuring devices are not usable at this place. The researchers
of Siemens AG were looking for a very compact vibration measurement system,
to record, store and wirelessly transmit the oscillations of the apparatus
during normal operation.
Always the two axis of the magnet coil package should be measured at a time. |

We supplied
• 2 M7 sensors
• 1 i-control
• 1 4-channel A/D converter
• Ethernet network
• 2 x RS232
• Profibus DP
• Test software
The i-Control can optionally be provided with control units for laser
scanners or with 4-channel A/D converters (up to 2).
With the A/D converter board 2 intensity signals and 2 sensors can be
recorded at the same time.
Of course, laser sensors and laser scanners can be concurrently connected
too, a corresponding mounting of the i-Control unit is provided. With
this flexibility, the i-Control is qualified for all conceivable acqusition
and measuring tasks.
