Production
facilities require intelligent control systems for quick reaction to varying
incidents in daily operations, e. g. cleaning, maintenance, daily routine
work.
By check-back signal via bidirectional transmission path, process parameters
and plant status, can be real time collected. Direct at the facility,
it is possible to validate, change, adapt and visualize the recorded
data.

|
|
|
Due
to the wireless operation, the time-consuming cable
routing to the place of action is to be dropped.
The base station is plugged in, instead of the existing control box and
is operable for the signals of the handheld unit.

The advantages of the STKIII system:
cost-efficient solving of complicated control tasks
|
|
|
|
• By wireless check-back signals on the manual control unit,
the operator is informed at any time about the plant
status, even
if the PLC center is far away.
• time saving: no complex cable routing
• quick and flexible handling - easy to learn
• fast amortization, as re-fitting in existing facilities also
• up to 6 PLC units in direct access
• up to 7 DFM Bus repeaters for extension of the operating range
Facility ranges, as many as desired, can be defined and loaded into the
manual control unit. In large facilities, several users are able to communicate
with each a facility section, because a separate radio channel is provided
for all facility ranges.
By use of the intelligent and multi secured transmission path, false data
are never able to get at the PLC.

The rambling distance of 200m is ascertained by only one central unit and
two repeaters! |

In contrast
to the inflexible and fault-prone, cable depending control desks, the
application of the radio remote control has the favorable effect of observing
processes directly on-site and operating the control system simultaneously.
The mobility to be needed to act directly at the facility, is given by
the STKIII radio remote control.
At the push of a button, the STKIII (operating wireless) is supplying
the corresponding command code to the PLC, receives feedback signals and
is displaying them on the STKIII mobile handset. Like this, at
any time, at any place the current facility
status is to be seen, even if the PLC center is far away.
